4 Reasons Why I Love Branding for Wellness Companies So Much

As a small design studio currently based in lovely Austin, Texas, I’ve had the chance to meet so many cool and creative entrepreneurs. I hate to play favorites, but I especially love working with female entrepreneurs in the wellness space. Wanna know why?

They care about causes big and small

If you’re a small biz owner, you probably struck out on your own because you had a vision for what you wanted to do and, more specifically, who you wanted to work with or serve. Having the power to choose who you let into your life is a wonderful feeling.

That’s one reason I love branding for wellness companies: I often find that the business owners I work with care about the same things as I do! We share similar values and passions, like supporting your local community. Celebrating diversity. Uplifting women-owned businesses. All that good stuff.

In my experience, I’ve noticed that women in the wellness industry tend to want to make a broader positive impact with their work. They may prioritize their local communities, but they also remember their larger place in the world. When they have a chance to create something sustainably, ethically, or organically, they take it — and I’m here for it.

I get to learn about something new

One of the best things about my job? I get to research and learn about a new product or topic that I may not have explored on my own.

If you’ve seen the Blades Creative Instagram, you know I am all about that woo life. I share monthly horoscopes. I change up my yoga practice according to my energy. Cats, crystals, and tarot cards are my jam. But that’s not all I am into, and I love that I can learn about so many new things while serving others through my design work.

Like how high-quality herbal products can make a cocktail taste amazing and relieve stress in the body. (Shout out to The Bitter Bottle!) Or how peppermint oil from a company like Herbiary can soothe achy joints and muscles, but is also great for clearing the mind.

There’s not enough time in the day to explore everything that interests me, so when I’m able to do it through design work, I fully embrace it!

Testing products is fun

Even more fun than learning while creating branding for wellness companies is, quite honestly, testing out those wellness products in real life.

Wouldn’t you wanna drink your morning cup of coffee with a dash of delicious cardamom bitters? Or add a lemon balm tincture to your favorite refreshing cocktail? How about enjoying the scent of hand rolled incense or practicing self-care with luxurious face creams?

Not to brag or anything, but I’ve had the opportunity to do things like that in my work with clients. And yes, it’s as awesome as it sounds.

I want to bring more beauty into the wellness space

The wellness industry is all about physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Yoga studio, nutrition, personal care, whatever your biz may be — we all just want to help people feel good inside and out. Part of that means bringing more beauty into the wellness space through intentional, instinctive brand design.

Caring about what your brand looks like may sound superficial, but it’s not! As a business owner, you can only give your best when you’re feeling your best. Branding should represent you and your mission. And if your brand doesn’t sync up with how you envision it, if it’s not quite you, if it feels downright wrong...then that can get in the way of doing your thing.

Sound familiar? It doesn’t have to stay that way. Get in touch with us at Blades Creative, and we’ll work together to create the branding that you’ve always wanted for your business!
